Worrywort: Life is too Short to Worry About...

Worry can crowd out life...Pixabay Image 19907

Hi everybody. I hope you are all doing fine and life is going just the way you desire.

So you noticed the word worry in the title and being the intelligent person that you are you figured out that this is just another article on the old beaten down subject of how worry can ruin your life.

That's cool...if you are a happy go lucky type person who doesn't worry...congratulations. If you're not then hear me out for a short moment.

Do you worry a lot? Do you worry excessively about money? whether or not you will have enough. Or maybe your job, how long will it last, will I get a promotion?

A Closer look

Let's take a closer look with a little experiment using an action that a large part of us utilize a large percentage of our lives.
I found out by doing a search on Google that the average person walks about 5 miles per day.

I don't know about you, but when I walk I don't concentrate too much on walking. My eyes, ears and feet all seem to work perfectly together for getting me where I need to go.

If your anything like me, your walking time is mostly spent on the cell phone, planning out the rest of the day or thinking of what fine restaurant you would like to dine at. While we walk we work, chat, and even have happy moments.

Worry Walk

Imagine yourself instead, walking down the street worrying about everything that could go wrong. Maybe that building will collapse and come tumbling down on me , or maybe the sidewalk will fall away from under my feet. The list of possibilities is endless.

With all of this stuff bouncing around in your head, it becomes very difficult to think about where your going to dine or how you plan to spend your evening.

Because of all this noise, you miss out on all the finer things of life like the awesome sunrise or the bright colored flowers in the park. Instead we are stuck inside of our own little worry bubble waiting to burst.

Ruins

Your Life

I  admit, I am not an educated expert on the subject of worry. I have no phd's or bachelor degrees. I am just your average next door neighbor kind of guy who has walked the path of the uncertain, make believe world of worry. I know what it feels like to carry unnecessary burdens through everyday life.

This isn't about worry and how it can ruin your life...this is about living your life to the fullest. Most of everything I ever worried about never ever happened. Worry became very natural to me, it seemed like it was the right thing to do as a responsible adult.

I'm not trying to convince you that you have to put an end to all the noise in your head...you have to convince yourself. You have to decide when enough is enough.

So what's the point?...Enjoy life because you never know when the end is coming. Don't worry about tomorrow...take care of today.
